Deviled Crab

An online recipe with instructions for making Deviled Crab.

Ingredients

Sauce Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 3/4 cup of milk
- 2 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1-1/2 teaspoons of dry mustared
- 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sause
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 3 drops of tabasco sauce
- dash of black pepper
- dash of cayenne pepper

Other Ingredients:
- 1 pound of crab meat
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon of parsley
- 1/4 cup of crumbs
- 1 tablespoon of fat

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Sauce Instructions:
- Cook the chopped onion in the oil.
- Blend the flour into the onion mixture.
- Add the milk and cook until it thickens.
- Mix in the remaining sauce ingredients.

Other Instructions:
In a separate container, Stir some of the sauce into the beaten egg, then mix the egg mixture back into the sauce. Add the parsley and crab meat. Spoon the crab mixture into individual casserole dishes (or one large shallow dish). In a separate container mix the crumbs with the remaining one tablespoon of fat. Top the casseroles with the crumb mixture and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 20 to 25 minutes.
