Hawaiian Macaroni Salad

How to make the type of basic macaroni salad served as a side dish on plate lunches in Hawaii. - Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

Cook macaroni till tender, then drain and rinse with cold water. Add carrots and mayonaise. Season with salt and pepper to taste If the mixture seems too thick and pasty add a little milk to thin it out.

Variations

Many other ingredients can also be added, such as pickles, olives, hard cooked eggs, cubed cooked potatoes, bits of meat, minced onion, mustard, vinegar, meat, seafood, poultry.
