We visted this rink on a Saturday night and it was very nice, the
nicest we visited on our vacation.  The skating floor is wood with
coating, 75'x200'.  The sound system was fair, with only 4 speakers -
no thumping bass and there wasn't any fancy light show, but the
rink was clean and the people that owned the rink were very nice.
They have begineer classes before the weekend matinee sessions and
also a speed class after the Sunday session.

According to a newspaper article, Dennis Hinton of Skate Odyssey in
north Tampa doesn't just play Christian music - he has revamped the
entire format of his rink to make it a Christian ministry.  He plays
contemporary Christian and secular music, but all the secular music
has been screened for positive messages to to create an environment
that parents feel safe bringing their kids to.

An article in the 4/19/96 St. Petersburg times describs this rink in
some detail, mostly from a teen perspective though it also mentions
older skaters.  It doesn't give a complete schedule, but does mention
chrsitian skating and a private gay night.
