The skating complex here in Madison includes a 15,000 square foot indoor
skating floor and hockey facility, a regulation-size outdoor roller hockey
facility and a totally-jammed-to-the-gills retail store! It's a busy place,
with Team Fast Forward roller speed-skaters practicing to maintain their
national rankings, and both indoor and outdoor roller hockey league play
going on year-round. Add to that the thousands of inline and quad skaters
who make their way around our skating flooor and you'll see where we get
our hands-on skate experience!

The Fast Forward Skate Shop is packed floor to ceiling with skates and
gear. We know skates inside and out. We've been selling and servicing
skates for over 22 years.

Lynda and Dennis "Den" Esslinger have operated The Den since 1977.
The rink features a 70' X 120' hard wood maple skating surface.

Friday evenings are packed with teens from Monroe and surrounding
areas, as the Den operates a bus service each Friday, bringing in
skaters from eight different communities as far away as 40 miles.
The two afternoon sessions are great for families and novice skaters,
featuring special birthday party packages, while Sunday evening is
a great adult session and often features dance skating.

The Den has become such a popular spot for holding wedding receptions
that there is no longer any Saturday evening roller skating.
