What is Diving?
Diving is the sport of standing of the edge of a body of water and plunging into the water, from a diving board, from the edge of a swimming pool, or from a shoreline. NOTE: Not to be confused with the sport of Underwater Diving.

Is Diving an Olympic Sport?
Yes, the sport of diving into water was first contested at the 1904 Olympics in Saint Louis, a women's diving event was added 1912 and a synchronized diving event was added in 2000.
