Alan Wong's Ohelo Berry Pineapple Relish
Wash 2 pounds of ohelo berries and place them in a pan with 1 pound of diced pineapple, 1/4 of an orange thinly sliced, 1/8 teaspoon of ground nutmeg, 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and add enough cold water to cover. Add sugar and bring mixture to a boil. Boil until the water has been reduced and a thick syrup forms. Stir in 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and store in the refrigerator.
