Oven Roasted Radishes

An online recipe with instructions for making oven roasted radishes.

Ingredients

- radishes cut in half after removing stems
- extra virgin olive oil
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Optional Additions:
- dried herbs or garlic powder (add to the oil, salt and pepper mixture)
- minced garlic (add after first 10 minutes of baking)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

Toss the radish halves with the olive oil, salt and pepper.

Arrange the radish halves cut side down on a baking sheet or in a shallow baking dish or casserole dish. Cooking the radishes cut side down allows the ut side to get crispy as it cooks.

Roast the radishes for about 15 to 25 minutes. The timing will depend on whether you want them crisp-tender (still with a bit of raw crunch) or fully tender and soft.
NOTE: Some recipes roast the radishes at 400 degrees for 40 minutes.
