Spicy Tea Gingerbread

An online recipe with instructions for making Spicy Tea Gingerbread.

Ingredients

- 1/2 cup of butter, softened
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/3 cup of packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup of molasses
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 3/4 cup of brewed tea

Instructions

Cream the butter and sugars together in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, then molasses.

Combine dry ingredients; add to sugar mixture alternately with tea, beating well after each addition. Pour over apples.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
